The History of Footsteps
Footsteps was set up three years ago by Pippa Hoyer Millar, whose daughter Minty has cerebral palsy. Pippa had been told not to expect Minty to ever walk or talk, that she would never progress beyond the level of a four year old and that Minty was in the bottom two percent of the population cognitively. Like many of the ‘Footsteps’ parents, Pippa refused to accept this limiting prophecy and continued to research and try many therapies throughout the UK and around the world, until she finally discovered a new treatment in Poland.
After two years of travelling to Poland for the treatment which went on to dramatically improve Minty’s condition, two highly skilled therapists joined Pippa to set up Footsteps in the UK. Today Minty walks, talks and has enjoyed progressing in every area.
Today Footsteps has helped scores of children with varying conditions and issues. Footsteps has now doubled in size and offers a team of expert therapists with vast experience helping children and young people fulfil their true potential.
